Carter Smith, RN, BSN

Carter grew up in Laurinburg, North Carolina. He has been a nurse for over 20 years and has a passion to teach, counsel, sustain and protect life.

In addition to working as a Nurse, Carter is a veteran of the United States Army, the Co-Founder and CEO for Coastline Women’s Center in Myrtle Beach S.C. He serves on staff within the organization bringing hope and courage to families during times of uncertainty surrounding an unplanned pregnancy.

Carter’s desire and passion for all stages of life includes a strong determination to see the end of abortion. Carter has shared the experience of living with the brokenness of his wife Jeannie’s abortion and how it almost destroyed their marriage. “By the grace of God, I have been given the opportunity to assist my wife through her journey of redemption, restoration, and salvation.”

Carter desires to share the hope of forgiveness, recovery, and freedom through Jesus Christ. He envisions reaching out to communities and people throughout the world to educate and counsel on this disregard for human life.  “This means we must have ministries mobilized to work in concert with one another—in order that entire communities might be reached for Christ—both locally and internationally. My vision is to partner with the local pregnancy crisis centers and churches to be a worldwide catalyst for abolishing abortion from the earth.”

“And lastly, my greatest passion is to fulfill the mandate God has stamped on my life:

I want to be a mechanism that transforms how people think about God, how pastors think about preaching, how churches think about their communities, and how everyday believers live out their faith at home, school, and work.

Luke Carter Smith

On December 16th, 2014 Luke was born to his parents Carter and Jeannie Smith, Founders of Coastline Women’s Center in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Luke was an answered prayer as his mother prayed for 10 years asking the Lord for the miracle of life in her womb. Luke was the blessing for the obedience of pioneering a ministry that would begin to save countless lives and minister to the broken. Luke’s special gifts were noticed by his parents at one years of age as he began crawling on furniture with a children’s Bible in his hand. At two years of age, they gifted Luke with his first “toy” guitar and he has been playing ever since.

Luke once crawling around the pregnancy center now attends weekly staff meetings, sings at fundraisers and occasionally leads devotional and worship for the staff. Luke enjoys writing songs and occasionally speaks on his mom’s podcast, Shattered into Beautiful. On April 13th, 2024 Luke performed at the S.C. State Capital for the “Don’t Mess with Our Kids” rally. He is well known in the community, sought after to perform, and leads worship in many churches and other arenas. Luke is known for his anointed pure worship, witty personality, wisdom, heart of compassion, and great love for the Lord. Luke’s life scripture is “And the child grew and became strong. He was filled with wisdom and the grace of God was on him” Luke 2:40. His desire is to lead his generation with song and truth.

“I love the Lord. I love to sing and play guitar. I have always wanted to sing and praise the Lord. My dream is to travel and lead others into worship. I want everything I do and all my gifts to be used to praise the Lord”
